Legislative Alert On Federal Reserve System and Debt
Actions Prescribed For The FRS and Liberty
Fellow Americans,
Through Committee of Correspondence action we oppose all that is
contrary to the spirit of our Declaration of Independence and the law and order
of our Constitution. We oppose government spending of our tax dollars on
programs that grow in cost beyond our ability to pay. Such government
spending is unsustainable.
We also oppose the Federal Reserve System's control over our dollar.
This control should be more directly held by Congress similar to what
President Kennedy was working towards when he created the United States
Treasury Note to compete with the Federal Reserve Note.
Considering where our nation is heading with unsustainable debt, we
need monetary reforms to save our dollar and economy. To rebuild and
maintain our economy, America must come back to the principles of
Constitutional law. This means controlling our own money through our
representatives in Congress. This means taking the control away from the
Federal Reserve System.
We are also concerned with the weak audits of the Federal Reserve
System that are conducted. To make the FRS more openly accountable for
what it does with our tax dollars, we call for support of H.R. 1207 in the House
and for support of passing S. 604 in the Senate to force the Federal Reserve
to be more accountable by proper audit of its operations.
More people are understanding the urgent need for changes in the
operations of our Government. The urgent need is this:
Our nation began as a free and independent nation under the laws of our
Constitution. Next, we the people let special interest groups tell us that a little
socialism was a good thing. Then, we took the easy handout and we became
dependent on it. The cost in taxes to maintain such a system has grown
beyond our ability to sustain. Now, here we are.
Our Federal Government has urgent concerns for medical care costs
because, the costs of the entitlement outlays that exist and are forecast to
increase under our Government's current social welfare programs are
unsustainable plus, the taxes that were collected for that purpose do not equal
the Government debt created from this and other uses of our tax dollars.
Our Government could potentially face an emergency in our society such
as might be caused by the collapse of our dollar. For whatever reason, be it
this or another potential possibility, that our people would abandon the law and
liberty of our Constitution, many people would welcome a heavy hand of law
and order regardless of its source in the hope of safety. If the American people
let this happen and the reason attributed to economics, it would become
painfully apparent to all citizens that a free society cannot long coexist with
socialism.
The solution for saving the value of our dollar is to cut back on Government
spending, opposite from what is being done. This can be done by eliminating
federal programs that, according to our Constitution's laws, the states have
responsibility for. However, we need to maintain the present "Entitlements" for
those who have worked and paid for it based on accepted law.
In the future, reform needs to be accomplished. Those who receive
Federal Government assistance and are judged capable of doing work, should
be required to work for help received. Many avenues of work to pay back for
help received are possible, even many avenues of community service so that
the principle will be correctly taught and applied that there is no such thing as a
free lunch.
We can reduce the Federal entitlement programs by encouraging citizens
to rely on private investments and charitable institutions and churches. This is
necessary because, as is now being painfully demonstrated, government
controlled socialism always leads to unsustainable cost increases.
In patriotic Committee of Correspondence and National Motto educational
action, we stand as Americans who are for our law and order under our State
and United States Constitutions. We educate, promote and recruit our fellow
citizens to stand with us in respect and honor for the law of our liberty, the
United States Constitution.
